BIO:
Heather Protz works at the edge of perception, using photography to explore motion, memory, and the layered imprint of place. Her images often embrace blur, abstraction, and the unexpected—where technology becomes collaborator and movement becomes mark-making. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, she is a professor of photography at the College of Southern Nevada, where she engages students in the evolving possibilities of image-making in today’s digital world. A two-time fellowship recipient from the Nevada and Ohio Arts Councils, Heather has exhibited nationally and internationally and curated exhibitions across the country, including recent shows at HP Studios in Santa Fe and The Image Gallery in Las Vegas.
