Class Format
This course follows a workshop format modeled on a professional artist’s studio, where students actively create, present, and receive feedback each week. It is a critique-based course, with weekly peer and instructor reviews serving as the backbone of the learning process. The structure emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning, guiding students through continuous development of their work with a focus on presentation, critique, and revision. Throughout the semester, projects evolve through an iterative process, preparing students to produce professional-quality final work aligned with industry expectations.

Assignment - Create a Book:
“Your images. Your story. Your book—ready to be seen.”
This is your chance to put your photography into the world—bound, printed, and ready to share. By the end of the semester, you’ll create a book, magazine, or trade book that’s more than just a collection of images—it’s your vision, your voice, and your story. Who’s it for? Collectors, galleries, clients, or maybe that one person who needs to see your work. Think of it as a portfolio, a calling card, or a visual manifesto. Whatever form it takes, this book will open doors and start conversations you can’t get from a single image.
